File Copies

Often, as Publishers printed each book they made, they would store a certain number of copies inside their own storage space for reference. This means that a file copy has not been subjected to the normal wear and tear that happens to a regular comic. Regular Comics pass from a Distributor to the Newsstand. The Newsstand than sells the comic to the public. File copies have usually been stored in one place for an extended period of time. Since file copies have not been circulated throughout the general population before, they have acquired a separate status with the Collector. File Copy books have been graded with that in mind.

Dell Four Color Comics

When listing a Dell Four Color Comic on this website, we have tried to leave the emphasis on the character featured in the title. While Dell would publish several comics a month under the umbrella title "Dell Four Color", the featured character of any single issue is usually what drives most collectors.

Certified Comics

These are books that have been submitted to various grading agencies, such as the Comics Guaranty Company, for grading and certification.

CGC-Graded

Diamond International Galleries is pleased to feature a selection of issues independently graded and certified by Comic Guaranty, LLC (CGC). As a third party, they are impartial, utilizing the standards put forth in The Overstreet Comic Book Grading Guide. Each issues is examined by a minimum of three professional graders for obvious defects, paper quality, restoration and other defects. Once CGC assesses a grade, the comic, magazine or graphic novel is placed in a protective well, and that well is then sealed in a hard plastic casing. This complete package is designed to prolong the life of the book as well as prohibit any tampering which would void the results of the grading process.

1. Create Your Account
   
   First you'll need to create an account. (You wont need an account if you just want to browse our inventory and don't want to buy anything.) The first time you try to access one of our secure pages, such as your shopping cart, you'll be prompted to login to your account or to create your account if you don't have one yet.

   Creating your account is easy. Click on the My Account link at the top of the page, follow the Create an account link, and enter your name, email address, and a password. At this point, you can also specify your shipping address. If you don't enter it now, you will be prompted for it when you place your first order. You'll also have the chance to sign up for the free Scoop Newsletter.
   
   

2. Find and Add Items to Your Cart
   
   Use the list of categories to the left or the search box above to find items that you'd like to purchase. On each item's detail page, there's a list of related categories and genres that may contain other items you'd find interesting. Click the Add to Cart button on the detail page to add an item to your shopping cart.
   
   
3. Checkout
   
   When you're ready to purchase the items in your cart, click the Checkout button at the bottom of your shopping cart page. At this point, you should verify your shipping address and make sure your preferred shipping method is selected. Enter your credit card information, billing address, and any special instructions or comments you might have.

   Click the Place Your Order button to place your order. We will send you an email confirmation with the details of your order.
   
   

4. Check Your Order's Status
   
   You can check the status of your order and at any time by logging into your account (by clicking on the My Account link at the top of the page). We will send you an email to notify you when your order has been processed and shipped.

Shipments cannot be made to a PO Box number. Please make sure to include a legitimate street address in your purchase, otherwise we cannot ship the item.

Insurance on all purchases, regardless of the amount, is included in the cost of shipment.

All merchandise is packed with the utmost care. Every comic ships in an appropriately-sized Mylar bag with a backing board. Original art will be shipped flat. More esoteric and unusual items, such as record albums or toys, will be packed individually with careful attention to safety and detail.
