Week 27 Highlights

Last week’s auction ending Sunday, July 9, had several successful items.  A set of two vintage 1952 Womanpower for Eisenhower pinback buttons sold for $136 after 15 bids, a 1974 vintage Rick Griffin Man Slow Motion signed album cover proof fetched $144 after 10 bids, and six 1964 Goldwater political campaign buttons sold for $147 after an impressive 16 bids. There was also one buy-it-now style listing of note, a DC Variant Play Arts KAI Batman Rogues Gallery Mr. Freeze action figure by Square Enix, which sold for $180.

Week 28 Preview

As this auction ends, the next auction will become available for bidding during its week-long run from July 9 to July 16. Collectibles headed to auction range from golden age 1946 Fawcett The Marvel Family #6, a 1950s red and blue television viewer featuring Betty Page, and a 1978 limited edition reprint Space Patrol handbook #134. A rare vintage tin-litho Charlie Champlin siren whistle premium sold for $111 after eleven bids, a sealed vintage official Charles O. Finle baseball fetched $111 after 4 bids and a vintage 1935 Hopalong Cassidy Enters theatrical one sheet poster ended at $89 after twelve bids.

Several CGC Marvel comic books stood out during last week’s auction ending Sunday, March 21. 1977 film adaptation Star Wars #1 graded and slabbed at a 9.0 VF/NM sold for $198 after 20 bids, 1963 first appearance of Sandman in Amazing Spider-Man #4 restored to a 2.0 GD+ sold for $222 after nine bids, and a 1963 first appearance of Doc Ock in Amazing Spider-Man #3 restored to a 0.5 PR sold for $243 after 22 bids.
